We are in the midst of sheltering at home due to COVID-19. This experience has been different, to say the least. Some good that has come out of it is a lot more nature walks and family time. We love to walk around our property and check out what different plant and animal species are using the Seek app. We found this little guy chilling on our front porch. According to the app, it is a Grey Tree Frog! So in honor of this little guy, we did our first lapbook project. The kids had so much fun researching tree frogs! We will definitely be doing more in the future.

Book Ideas
These books would make great additions to your research project. You could make it into a whole unit study. There is a planner page included in the product to help you plan that out.
We love the Fun With Nature: Take Along Guide and the Kingfisher Animal Encyclopedia. The kids love to get these out just to read everyday.
