Book Suggestions for Ancient Egypt Unit Study
When starting any unit study, I first dig out any books we have on hand, then hit up our local library. These are some of the books we either already own or borrowed. These are great to have on hand for your kiddos to just peruse on their own or use to answer any questions. I love watching my kids devour knowledge from books. They learn so much more than just the answer to whatever question they may be trying to answer.
Another good option for books is Epic! We use Epic for our reading time and the kids love it. Epic has several different options for books about the Ancient Egypt. My kids especially like the book An Egyptian Adventure and Time Twisters. There is also a book, Life in Ancient Egypt, that was really helpful when discussing daily life, as well as comparing then vs now.

Digital Resource Ideas
I have not included any outside links to digital resources. Links can change and you might like to use a different resource that is available to you. For this year of school we signed up for Discovery Education Techbooks and am also looking at their Education Experience. In skimming through it after finishing this unit it offers several video clips that would have been a good addition to this unit. So, for that reason, I have left the links up to you to add. And if you don't want to use links, that would work as well.
Video Suggestions for Slides
These are suggestions for digital resources to add into slides provided in this digital interactive notebook. These are suggestions, but are what I used for my kiddos. The beauty of this product is you can choose the resources that work best for your group of kids!
To use these links, simply copy the web address from the video. Then on the individual slides right click on the shape above the laptop image and add to the hyperlink.
